Senior Research Fellow at the Institute Sinikukka Saari commented on the sanctions against Russia in Verkkouutiset on September 11th. According to her, it is clear that the sanctions will not bring about quick victories and their downside is the so called blockaded country reaction which means that nationalism is on the rise in Russia.
