Former DoD spokesman J.D. Gordon: Russia, China set sights on Arctic riches

On 12 February, Senior Research Fellow Harri Mikkola and Reseach Fellow Juha Käpylä’s Briefing Paper “Global Arctic” was cited in the Hill newspaper published in Washington D.C. They argued that the Arctic “can no longer be perceived as a spatially or administratively confined region, but is instead taking on a new form and dynamics in the midst of contemporary global politics.”
