Online newspaper Uusi Suomi quoted Institute Programme Director Mika Aaltola speaking at a FIIA seminar on 7 November, the morning after the US election. Dr Aaltola said that this election represents the future. He referred to the demographic change, where today’s minorities will become the majority. The change also means that the share of traditional Republican supporters in the population is getting smaller.
