Senior Research Fellow at the Institute Charly Salonius-Pasternak commented on the private military and security business in Yle TV1’s MOT programme on August 25th. According to him, the shift of military force or violence to private businesses should not in any situation take place based on some kind of privatisation ideology because the use of military force is a completely different thing than for example the privatising of railways or the water supply.
