FIIA’s Senior Research Fellow Mikael Wigell was interviewed by McClatchy DC (1.2) to an article on recent developments regarding Russia’s role in the Venezuela crisis.
On the issue of Russian desire for Venezuela to pay outstanding loans, Wigell noted that: “They are concerned about those loans and whether they will be paid back, and they have no guarantees that they will be paid back if the opposition takes power,”.
