Senior Research Fellow at the Institute Toni Alaranta commented on Turkey’s situation in Helsingin Sanomat on October 17th. According to him, Turkey’s behaviour can be explained by the fact that an emergence of Kurdish areas on the Turkish border with links to PKK would be hard to digest for Turkey.
