Senior Research Fellow at the Institute Jyrki Kallio commented on Svenska Yle on March 15th on China’s economic interests in Africa. According to Kallio, it is misleading to talk about China investing in Africa. It would be more correct to say that Chinese companies, including state-owned ones, are trading in Africa.
