Senior Research Fellow at the Institute Kristi Raik commented on the situation in Ukraine in Ilta-Sanomat on April 9th. According to Raik, Russia’s actions can partly be explained as an experiment on whether Eastern Ukraine can be attached to Russia in similar fashion to Crimea.
