Senior Research Fellow at the Institute Mikael Wigell commented on the Brazilian presidential election on Svenska Yle on October 3rd. According to him, the presidential candidate Marina Silva is critical towards authoritarian regimes such as Cuba or Venezuela and would rather improve relations with the US and Europe. Silva doesn’t want to support Russia in the same way as the incumbent president Dilma Rousseff has, Wigell said.
