Turkey and the EU are negotiating on Monday about handling of refugee crisis. There are at least two million Syrian refugees in Turkey, and most of the refugees who are going to Europe are travelling through Turkey. On Sunday, information about the action plan between the EU and Turkey concerning refugees, leaked out. Senior Research Fellow Toni Alaranta assumes that Turkey is expecting a favour from the EU if it tightens up its border control. Toni Alaranta commented the issue to Yle Uutiset on October 5th.
