Senior Research Fellow at the Institute Mikael Wigell commented on the Venezuelan financial situation in Helsingin Sanomat on January 7th. Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro is beginning an international tour to try to stem the impact of falling oil prices and a deepening recession. According to Dr. Wigell the tour will not probably be a success.
