Programme Director at the Institute Mika Aaltola commented on the new sanctions against Russia by the US and the EU in Ilta-Sanomat on July 17th. According to him, the EU’s new sanctions are relatively moderate, and instead of using third level sanctions, the EU invented an alternative of “2.5 level”.
