Director of the Institute Teija Tiilikainen commented on the EU summit on Yle Radio 1’s Ykkösaamu on July 16th. According to her, the nomination of Jean-Claude Juncker to the Commission presidency does not weaken Jyrki Katainen’s possibilities to receive a heavy portfolio as a commissioner, even though they both represent the EPP.
