Antti Pihlajamaa is a Visiting Research Fellow in the Finnish Foreign Policy, Northern European Security and NATO research programme. Pihlajamaa has worked as a teacher of strategy and a research officer at the Finnish National Defence University since 2017, and prior to that in various training roles for the Finnish Defence Forces. He is currently working on his dissertation on the military role of United Kingdom in Northern Europe for the National Defence University. Pihlajamaa is especially interested in matters related to the hard security of Northern Europe and the strategic dimensions related to the use of military force.
